Syracuse, N.Y. - More than 1,600 tickets -- at $125
each -- were sold for the 10th Annual Charity
Preview of the Syracuse Auto Show sponsored by the
Syracuse Auto Dealers Association. The
black-tie-optional event tonight mixed food and
cocktails with the chance to see new vehicles before
the show opens to the public. The charity preview
has raised more than $1.1 million since its
inception in 1999.
This year, proceeds from the event go to: Camp Good Days & Special Times Inc.; Crouse Health Foundation; Dunbar Association Inc.; Elmcrest Children's Center; Enable; Hospice of Central New York; Huntington Family Centers Inc.; Kidney Foundation of Central New York; Learning Disabilities Association of Central New York; Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York; Meals on Wheels of Syracuse, NY, Inc.; Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; and Syracuse Brickhouse. The show opens to the public Wednesday and runs through Sunday at the Oncenter/War Memorial complex. The hours are 4 to 9 p.m. today through Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are: $7 for adults; $5 for senior citizens; $2.50 for children under 12; and free for children under 5.
