CNY Race for the Cure

4. Where is parking? Will there be delays?
Answer: We have been assured that all exits from 690 will lead you directly into the parking lots across from the grounds. Parking is FREE. From there you can walk across the pedestrian bridge or take a shuttle bus directly to the main gate. Buses begin running at 7:30am. Please note pedestrians are NOT allowed to cross State Fair Blvd. For the safety of all those involved, please obey the traffic patrols on site to insure your safety.
5. Can I bring a child in a stroller?
Answer: Absolutely. For safety purposes you must line up in the back and be extremely careful of those in front of you. Please note, your child MUST BE A REGISTERED PARTICIPANT. Only registered participants are allowed on the course. We recommend registering them for the KIDS FOR THE CURE. They will get the official t-shirt (in children's sizes) and a finisher medal.
6. Can I bring my pet? The website says NO but I've seen them there in the past.
Answer: Please note that in accordance with the State Fair policy - all pets are prohibited unless they are working dogs or canine companions. Although you may have seen a few on the course in prior years, what you didn't see were the people being turned away at the gate because they had a pet with them. With 10,000 plus people on site your pet could easily become frightened, confused, or even lost. We don't want to see that happen to your pet or put any of our participants in jeopardy. Please respect the rules that are in place for everyone (including your pet) and leave them home that morning to sleep-in. Hey why not register them as a Sleep In for the Cure participant and they will get their very own shirt mailed to them to enjoy that day while you are away.
7. What time should I arrive?
Answer: Please allow 20-30 minutes from the time you arrive in the parking lot until you board a bus and arrive right at our main gate. At times between the 7:45-8:30 it could take up to 30 minutes. The majority of participants like to be on site for opening ceremonies and the start of the survivor parade so you most likely want to be at the gate by 8:00AM. You should also plan for additional travel time to the site as race day traffic can cause delays.
8. Where do I get my race t-shirt and timing chip?
Answer: Team Member? If you are a member of a team you will get your shirt and race bib (which has the timing chip on it) from your team captain. Team captains can pick up all materials one week prior to the Race. More details will be provided as soon as they are available. If you registered as an individual online or by mail you can pick up your shirt on the following dates or times
